Charlotte-Area REALTOR®, Jean Gossett, joined Savvy + Co. Real Estate in 2019 with a desire to provide the highest professionalism and marketing to her clients. Jean focuses on southeast Charlotte, Matthews, Ballantyne and Union County. She also knows the center city well from her previous work for a South End developer and ten years working in neighborhood revitalization for The Housing Partnership, a private nonprofit.  Jean spent her youth on the horse farms that dotted Providence Road out into Union County which are now home to some of the city’s best and most diverse real estate.  For the last 15 years, Jean has called Cameron Wood off Park Road her home with twins, John and Kaitlin, who attend South Mecklenburg High School.

For sellers, Jean knows how to demonstrate the appreciation value and lifestyle benefits of southeast Charlotte to buyers, and she packages that with Savvy’s strategic marketing tools and resources. Jean works hard for her clients. She believes in over-preparing sellers with a predictive marketing plan and analysis that removes guess work and prepares sellers for good decision-making when pricing and negotiating the sale of their homes.

Jean knows most buyers have worked and studied the market long before they meet with her. Jean listens to and understands her buyers needs and wants before she adds value to their home search.  Then she works hard to make sure her clients understand the market forces at play and the pros and cons of any home up for consideration. As a numbers person, Jean provides data so that if bidding is aggressive, buyers know exactly where they stand.

Southeast Charlotte is perfect for first-time buyers who too often overlook investment and location value when purchasing. Jean makes sure clients buying for the first time consider all the angles and don’t miss out on their fabulous opportunity to begin accumulating wealth.

“Charlotte finally has a city center with a character, flavor and dynamic that enriches life for us all.  It is great to have such incredible, walkable neighborhoods and housing available in our city that co-exists with our longtime residents and institutions. By 2040, the Charlotte Metro is forecast to grow by another 500,000 people including 80,000 more residents in the center city. Demand for close-in, suburban or “surban” neighborhoods such as those in southeast Charlotte will skyrocket. This means opportunities for both buyers and sellers!

The rings of expansion in southeast Charlotte, the city’s longest running growth corridor, offer great choices at all price points.  Mid-century, transitional, traditional, 70’s, starter homes and condos plus in-fill new construction can all be found “inside 51” and just minutes from center city!  Urban pioneers and homebuyers wanting more design freedom will love the many older neighborhoods without HOA’s.  There are also great neighborhoods bordering new stretches of greenway which will eventually stretch to Fort Mill and the Anne Springs Close Greenway.

A bit further out, buyers can find homes with acre lots in Weddington, golf course and amenity rich communities, and beautiful neighborhoods with lakes and woods all at relatively great values when one considers Charlotte’s projected growth, demand for great schools and the proximity to the expanding employment hubs at Ballantyne and Southpark.” – Jean Gossett
